Common licensing problems that apply to all license types.

3.4.1. Demonstration Mode Limitations

When running in demonstration mode without a valid license:

• Model size is limited

• Saving large models is restricted

• Full computational features may be disabled

To resolve, obtain and configure a valid license (see Web License).

3.4.2. Multiple Software Versions

If running multiple Itasca software versions:

1. Each version may require its own license configuration

2. Web licenses can typically be shared across versions

3. Hardware keys may be version-specific

Best Practices

• Maintain separate installation directories for each version

• Configure licenses independently for each installation

• Document which license is associated with each version

• Specific error messages

• Software version
