6. Nodes and Elements¶
MINEDW provides comprehensive tools for selecting and manipulating nodes and elements within the finite-element mesh. These tools are essential for:
Assigning and editing element properties (hydraulic conductivity, storage zones, recharge zones, evaporation zones)
Assigning and editing node boundary conditions (constant heads, pumping wells, variable-flux boundary conditions)
Moving nodes within the finite-element mesh
Adding pinch-outs for increased vertical model discretization
Refining and extending the mesh
This chapter covers the selection methods and operations available for both elements and nodes, including interactive selection tools, polygon-based selection, overlay-based selection, and property assignment dialogs.
