2.1. Software Maintenance

Itasca maintains active support for MINEDW through regular software updates and bug fixes. This commitment ensures users have access to the most stable and feature-rich version of the software.

Update Schedule

Itasca addresses reported bugs and issues promptly, with updates posted to the Itasca website immediately upon completion. This rapid response minimizes work disruptions and ensures continuous productivity. The frequent update cycle reflects modern software development practices and user expectations.

Installing Updates

Software updates use the same Windows Installer (.msi) process described in the Installation Guide. The installer automatically:

  • Detects and validates your current version

  • Preserves all user data, projects, and configurations

  • Prevents accidental version downgrades

Obtaining Updates

Users with active maintenance agreements can:

  • Check for updates through the program’s Help menu

  • Download updates directly from the Itasca website

  • Contact technical support for update assistance

2.1.1. Bug Reporting

Although Itasca software has been tested extensively, it is almost impossible to test all available combinations of options in a code as complex as this one. For this reason, some errors may have escaped our notice. If you discover a genuine bug, please let us know as soon as possible so that we may correct it. Itasca is committed to correcting code errors and distributing fixes containing those corrections with the greatest possible speed.

The preferred method for supplying bug or error notifications is through the Technical Support Dialog. When using the dialog, please be sure to check “Bug Report” in the “Help Topic” field near the bottom of the form. Response to your report may come from a different location, depending on which office or agent fulfilled your program purchase.
