zone slice command
Syntax
- zone slice keyword
Primary keywords:
Create a new surface mesh by slicing through the 3D model.
- by-plane <range>
Slice through the model with a plane to create a new surface mesh. The plane is defined by an origin point and a normal vector.
- origin v
Defines the origin of the plane.
- normal v
Defines the normal vector of the plane.
- slot s
Defines the slot in which the groups are used to split the surface mesh into different groups. If not supplied, the default slot is used.
- gradation-surface f
Specify gradation f > 0 of the element sizes along the edges and inside the surface meshes. A value close to 0 leads to a more progressive variation. The default value is 0.5.
If specified, hidden zones are included in the slice. By default, hidden zones are not included in the slice.
- use-null-zones
If specified, null zones are included in the slice. By default, null zones are not included in the slice.
- to-grid-file s
If specified, the surface mesh is written to f2grid file s. By default, the surface mesh is not written to file.
