Finding Your License Number

The license number uniquely identifies the hardware key or web license associated with your software license. The purchasing organization’s account holds this number, required for:

• Technical support requests,

• Software upgrades, and

• Identifying purchase history for new orders.

Methods to Locate License Number

The software provides multiple methods to find the license number. Methods may vary between the software.

Command Line Methods

• Use the command list security (reported as “Serial Number: “)

• Use the command list keyinfo (reported as “Serial Number: ” for physical keys only)

GUI Method

• Use \(Help -> Request Technical Support\) (see License: field at top)

Troubleshooting

When methods fail to find a key, possible outputs include:

• A message indicating “no key found”

• A message indicating the code is operating in demonstration mode

• An error message in a dialog box

• A “key not found” warning message

For physical keys, if these techniques fail, find the license number printed on the USB security key’s tag.
