The Model Workspace
The Model workspace displays the model and provides tools for specific interactions with it, which include selecting, showing, hiding, and grouping objects. There are a few tools specific to certain data types, for example, to densify zones or create structural elements on faces. This workspace is accessed from the workspace Workspace Content Selector.
In the workspace, model manipulations are automatically translated into commands that are sent to the Console tab in the i Commands area. See the command reference for specific data types for more information ( Zone Commands , Zone FISH ).
As familiarity with commands grows, it may be easier to use the Model workspace to select a set of objects and then switch to the Console tab to type a command to affect the selected objects: in this circumstance, including the phrase range selected at the end of the typed command will apply the command to the objects currently selected in the Model workspace.
