Syntax

block contact use-actual b

By default, 3DEC will check the true distance between a subcontact vertex and its associated face on the first calculation step. If the gap is not 0, then the calculated normal displacements are corrected to account for the mismatch. This is sometiomes not desired if a model is created with imperfect join planes, resulting in variable normal displacements across a “planar” joint. Suppress this correction by setting b to false.
